Recycled Wine Bottle Plant Waterer
This Recycled Wine Bottle Plant Waterer is a great way to recycle and to make watering your potted plants easier. Look at the images and you will see the easy way the designer had for making the flower pattern. Why didn’t I think of that!
Supplies
Americana® Multi-Surface Acrylics
Orange Sherbet
Turf Green
Black Glass Paint Markers
Paper Towels
Rubbing Alcohol
Scissors
Flat brush (small)
Computer paper
Pencil
Wine bottle
Instructions
Remove any labels from the wine bottle. Clean with a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol.
Make your own pattern by using an actual flower and leaf from a plant. Trace onto computer paper and cut them out. Or use the provided Black Eyed Climbing Susan pattern.
Trace around the flower and leaf patterns using a Black Glass Marker. Draw lines for the vines between the flowers.
Paint in the shapes using Orange Sherbet for the flowers and Turf Green for the foliage.
Trace around the shapes again to get a clean line.
Let the bottle surface air-dry for seven days. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Once 30 minutes is done, turn off the oven and crack the door to cool completely.
When finished completely, fill with water and upend in your flower pot. Or put into a decorative bag and give as a gift to someone special.
