Instructions
To make one tri-fold display, measure and lightly draw a line 7" from each short edge of Foam Board™ on tan colored side. Use an X-ACTO® #1 Craft Knife (with new blade) and cutting mat to cut along pencil lines ONLY through top layer of paper and foam but NOT through white paper on other side. Hint: Score lightly first and then press more firmly to cut through foam. Replace blades often. Note: If line is accidentally cut all the way through, reinforce cut edge with transparent tape. Repeat with other tan Foam Board™. Gently fold foam along cut lines to form tri-fold display.
Print out provided pilgrim and turkey artwork on your printer. Cut out pieces with scissors.
Place one face opening in center of foam board. Use pencil to lightly trace face pattern onto foam. Use an X-ACTO® Knife (with new blade) and cutting mat to cut out opening.
For Pilgrim Boy: ApplyElmer's CraftBond™ Extra Strength Glue Stick to tabs on the side of the hat. Fold back hat tabs and adhere to foam board. Give the hat dimension by slightly bringing sides in so that the middle curves out.For boy's collar, use glue stick on folded tabs. Align curved neck of collar with opening and press in place until secure. Bring shoulder edges of each collar down and in, to create dimension with bottom of collar. Apply glue to shoulder edges only, holding until secure. Tie bow in black ribbon and secure to collar using Elmer's CraftBond Foam Mounting Strips.
For Pilgrim Girl: Apply Elmer's CraftBond™ Extra Strength Glue Stick to tabs around the bonnet. Fold back bonnet tabs and adhere to foam board. Give the bonnet dimension by slightly bringing sides in so that the middle curves out. For the bonnet rim, curve template paper around center of foam face opening. Fold the tabs onto the back of the foam board and secure with tape (See step 4 in instruction photo).
For Turkey: Apply Elmer's CraftBond™ Extra Strength Glue Stick to tabs on each side of the turkey beak. Fold back tabs and adhere to foam board. Give the beak dimension by slightly bringing sides in so that the middle curves out. Glue the hat to the foam board using the same method as the others. Using a sharp pencil, punch holes into the foam board at a 45 degree angle pointing toward the turkey. Insert feathers into the holes.
Adhere decorative scrapbook paper along the bottom of the foam boards with glue stick.
Randomly place leaves on foam board and adhere with Elmer's CraftBond Foam Mounting Strips.
Adhere word bubbles with a loop of tape on the backside so that each person can easily swap out their quote of choice for their photo.
