Money Ornament Craft

Money covered styrofoam ball

This Money Ornament looks like a million dollars but can be made for under $20. Make one for each of the kids and have them carefully search the tree for the one with their name on it. It’s more fun than just opening an envelope.

Trivia:

The ‘modern’ Christmas tree tradition is thought to have originated in 16th century Germany, where small evergreen trees were decorated with the likes of candles, apples, nuts, and berries as “Paradise trees” in church plays. Source: Culture Trip – A Brief History Of The Christmas Ornament
