Sign Language I Heart You Craft
Saying I Love You is not just for Valentine’s Day. This Sign Language I Heart You craft says I Love You in every language; Valentines Day, Mother’s Day and every day. The FreeKidsCrafts Team designed this craft to help pass the love around.
Teachers and Scout Leaders: Plan ahead for lessons in sign language and use this craft to reinforce that experience.
Trivia:
Sign language was first developed in France in the 1700’s and was the basis for American sign language. Source: Very Well Health – The History of Sign Language.
Supplies
- Foam
- Trim
- Scissors
- Craft glue
- Foamy hearts
- Handprint
Instructions
- Fold a piece of paper in half and cut out heart to use as a pattern. Lay on a piece of foam and trace around the pattern. Cut out the heart.
- Lay your left hand on a flesh colored piece of foam and trace around. Cut out hand print and fold down two fingers and glue using the picture as a reference. Glue handprint to heart.
- Glue trim around heart and add foamy hearts or make some of your own.
- Let dry and present to Mom or someone you love.
