Paper Plate Seascape
Ten year old contest winner, Marlee from Portsmouth, Ohio, submitted this Paper Plate Seascape. Fifth grader, Marlee, and her mom craft anytime they can get the time and sea themed crafts are their favorites, especially mermaids!
Supplies
Paper Plates
Glue
Sea creature stickers
Tissue paper squares
Green pipe cleaners
Blue paint
Brushes
Stapler
2" Yarn
Instructions
Paint one paper plate blue and let dry.
Cut center out of another paper plate and set aside.
Twirl and ball up pieces of tissue paper to look like coral. Glue to the bottom of the center of whole paper plate making sure it's still visible through cut paper plate.
Use cut pipe cleaners to make seaweed, cut them to the desired length and bend them. Glue to the paper plate.
Decorate with the stickers and decorate the outside plate.
Tape a length of yarn to the top of the whole plate.
Staple plates together and hang to enjoy.
