Kumihimo Braided Friendship Bracelet
Make this Kumihimo Braided Friendship Bracelet for you and your friends as you head back to school. You could even make it in school colors.
Supplies
White Nylon Thread*
Blue Nylon Thread*
Antique Bronze Claps
Scissor
Glue Gun
Mini Kumihimo Disk
*Editor's Note: In reviewing this craft it appears that "thread" in this case is not the normal sewing thread and appears to be a 2mm cord. Check the contributor's site for supplies.
Instructions
1st, cut 10 pieces of blue nylon thread and 2 pieces of white nylon thread (as bout the same length);
2nd, hold the 12 nylon threads together and make a knot on one end of the nylon threads;
3rd, hold the nylon threads together and cross them through the middle circle of the mini Kumihimo disk. Then, put the 12 nylon threads into the space on the two sides of the four black points of the mini Kumihimo disk one by one (as shown in the picture);
4th, move the third blue nylon thread (on the top) to the nether part of the two left blue nylon threads(as shown in the picture).
Step 2: Make the second part of the blue kumihimo friendship bracelet
1st, move the second blue nylon thread (on the top) to the nether part of the two right blue nylon threads (as shown in the picture);
2nd, move the third white nylon thread (at the bottom) to the upper part of the three left blue nylon threads (as shown in the picture);
3rd, move the second white nylon thread (at the bottom) to the upper part of the three right blue nylon threads (as shown in the picture);
4th, move the two blue nylon threads (on the top) and two blue nylon threads (at the bottom) to the space beside the two black points (as shown in the picture).
Step 3: Make the third part of the blue kumihimo friendship bracelet
1st, move the second blue nylon thread (on the left) to the left side of the two bottom blue nylon threads (as shown in the picture);
2nd, move the second blue nylon thread (on the right) to the right side of the two bottom blue nylon threads (as shown in the picture);
3rd, move the second blue nylon thread (on the left) to the left side of the two top blue nylon threads (as shown in the picture);
4th, move the second blue nylon thread (on the right) to the right side of the two top blue nylon threads (as shown in the picture).
Step 4: Make the rest part of the blue kumihimo friendship bracelet
1st, move the white nylon thread and the blue nylon thread (on the top) and the white nylon thread and the blue nylon thread (at the bottom) to the space beside the two black points (as shown in the picture);
2nd, refer to the above steps to make more such patterns (as shown in the picture);
3rd, use glue gun to add antique bronze claps to the two ends (as shown in the picture);
4th, connect the two ends of the blue kumihimo braided friendship bracelet together.
