DIY Origami Candy Dish

Make a bunch of these Hanukkah Origami Candy Dishes and set them out for your guests to enjoy a sweet during the holiday. You could also fill them with sweets and cover them with plastic wrap and give them out as favors to guests who come to celebrate with you.

Trivia:

Hanukkah, which means “dedication” in Hebrew, begins on the 25th of Kislev on the Hebrew calendar and usually falls in November or December. Often called the Festival of Lights, the holiday is celebrated with the lighting of the menorah, traditional foods, games and gifts. Source: History.com – Hanukkah

Supplies
  • A piece of 12″ x 12″ blue wrapping paper or Hanukkah Scrapbook Paper
  • Scissors
Instructions
  1. Use these directions and refer to the photos below to make your dish.
  2. Crease paper both way diagonally. Open up. (the white is the back of the paper)
  3. Fold each side to the middle.
  4. Fold both the top and the bottom to the middle. Crease all sides well.
  5. Open up all folds but the first ones. It will look like step 2 but with extra creases.
  6. Open up the top and the bottom.
  7. Hold the corner marked A, and push it up and in to the center. Shaping the corner using the crease lines as a guide.
  8. Repeat for the opposite corner.
  9. Fold point B up and in to the middle of the box. Use the previous creases to continue the shaping. Point B will end up meeting the two points from the sides.
  10. Repeat from step 6 with the opposite side to finish the box.
  11. Fill with treats and enjoy!
