Dog Bean Mosaic
This Dog Bean Mosaic is made from supplies you may already have in your food pantry. You can turn lots of coloring pages into bean mosaics also. Make sure the drawings are simple enough to fit in the beans. There are more dog crafts under the Animals/Pet Crafts.
Trivia:
The Chinese regard the dog as an auspicious, loyal animal. If a person born in the year of the dog happens to come to a house, it symbolizes the coming of fortune. Source: Travel China Guide-Year of the Dog.
Supplies
- Different color beans
- Tacky glue
- Cardboard
Instructions
- Print out enough patterns so each child has their own.
- Mount on cardboard so when the beans are added it will be strong enough to hold the weight.
- Spread a thin layer of glue on a small area at a time and place the colored beans that match the pattern on that area. It helps to fill in the small areas first.
This is just one of several dog projects available for use in explaining some of the different customs in Asian Countries.
