Potpourri Valentine Frame
This Potpourri Valentine Frame is easy for the kids to make and makes a gift that is beautiful and smells nice too. Some of the tools should be used by a responsible adult who is supervising the project. You could also recycle an old frame and use this method to update it as a beautiful Valentine gift.

Instructions
Select a favorite photo for your special person.
Cut out a square of heavyweight cardboard that will be big enough to frame the photo once you have cut out a heart.
Make a heart pattern and center in the cardboard. Trace around with pencil and cut out with utility knife. Make sure you have a cutting board or additional cardboard underneath so you don't ruin your work surface.
Put a string of hot glue around the edge of the heart and place pieces of potpourri in the glue. Continue to glue the potpourri onto the frame until it is covered.
Add a few touches of gemstones to the potpourri. We used burgundy and amber for the season.
Glue picture to the back of the frame and give to that someone special in your life.
Option: Recycle an old frame and update it with this potpourri method.
