Glow in the Dark Jars
Everybody loves things that glow in the dark. Kids will have a grand time making these Glow in the Dark Jars and then turning out the lights to see the magic happen. It’s always fun to repurpose items and give them a whole new life.
Supplies
Clean empty baby food jars
Glow Sticks
Hot Glue
Instructions
I got some empty baby food jars. I got glow sticks from the dollar store. I cut off both ends of the glow stick and dumped the gel inside the jar.
Because it was thick, it didn’t come out very well. So, I tried blowing it out. Warning! Glow-in-the-dark-gel tastes pukey.
There wasn’t much gel so I smeared it round the inside of the jar so there wasn’t just a small glob in the bottom of the jar. (Next time I might put in 2 glow sticks. Or maybe not get them from the dollar store — to see if another kind would have more gel.)
Then, we hot glued the lid and let the kids play. (They also played with the extra glow sticks.)
