Fun Facts
April is often linked with springtime, blooming flowers, and rainy weather. Some historians believe the name April may come from a Latin word meaning “to open,” which fits the season when buds and blossoms begin to open. Others connect the month to Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty in Greek mythology.
Word search puzzles are more than just fun. They can help children build spelling skills, improve concentration, and strengthen pattern recognition.

Teacher Friendly Educational Extension
Use this printable as part of a spring language arts center.
