Supplies
  • Stencil (see below)
  • Card Stock
  • Scissors
  • Camera or phone with camera
  • Printer

Instructions

1. Print the butterfly stencil below on a thicker paper called card stock. This type of paper is strong and durable, making it great for stenciling.

2. Carefully cut out the inside of the butterfly wings using scissors. Follow the bold lines on the stencil and make sure to cut accurately to create clear and defined shapes.

3. Take the stencil and go outside to explore nature. Look for beautiful places like gardens, parks, or even your own backyard.

4. Once you find a visually appealing subject, hold the stencil in front of your camera lens. Make sure the butterfly wings align with the composition, creating a frame within your photograph.

5. Experiment with different angles and compositions to capture unique and creative shots.

6. Since you’re not harming nature, take as many pictures as you want. Capture different moments, perspectives, and details to create a diverse collection of photographs.

7. After you finish taking photos, transfer them to your computer. Depending on your ability you can even edit the pictures to enhance their colors, adjust the contrast, or apply filters to make them look even more beautiful.

8. Finally, share your stunning pictures with friends, family, or on social media to showcase your creativity and love for nature. Remember to always be respectful of the environment and avoid causing any harm to nature.

Enjoy the process of capturing the beauty of the natural world and creating lasting memories through your photographs.
