Cute Cork Kitten Craft
Turn saved corks into an adorable kitten craft that kids will love helping make. This easy craft for kids is a fun way to reuse everyday materials and create a cute little pet for pretend play, room decor, or classroom activities. It is also a great project for practicing simple assembly and fine motor skills.

Fun Facts
Cork comes mainly from the cork oak tree. These trees grow best in warm Mediterranean areas with lots of sunshine. One of the most common uses for cork is making bottle stoppers, but cork is also a great material for easy crafts for kids because it is lightweight and easy to glue.
Patterns, Templates and Printables
This project does not require a printable template. Use the example photo as your guide while building your kitten.

Teacher Friendly Educational Extension
This cork kitten craft works well as a classroom activity or homeschool art project. Children can talk about pets, animal care, and the body parts of a cat while they build. You can also extend the activity with a simple writing prompt such as “What would you name your kitten?” or “What adventures will your cork kitten have?” For younger children, this is also a nice way to practice shape recognition by identifying the triangle ears and circle eyes.
