Doily Spring Flowers
These Doily Spring Flowers will make you smile while you wait for the real thing. The kids will have fun creating a colorful garden of 3D flowers.
Supplies
Mini doilies (or big ones for big flowers)
Watercolors
Scissors
Brad fasteners
Instructions
Start by painting your mini doilies with watercolors. For these ones we used purple/red watercolors, alternating rings starting from the middle. The less water you use, the more vibrant the colors will be.
Once the doilies are dry, fold them in half over and over again until you can’t anymore. Take your brass fasteners and stick them through the middle of the doily and onto the white sheet of card stock paper.
Using a skinny paintbrush, make green watercolor stems. Take another doily and cut leaf shapes from it, then paint them green. Using a blow dryer helps the impatient people ;) Glue those on and you have a beautiful little garden!
