Egg Dye Craft Stick Crosses
These Egg Dye Craft Stick Crosses will be a perfect reminder of the Easter season. The kids can use them to decorate baskets they donate to the needy or for their own enjoyment.
Trivia: The cross represents the death of Jesus Christ and is a central part of the gospel message. It represents Christ’s suffering for us.
Supplies
Easter Egg Dye
Cups or Glasses
Craft Stick (we used 2 sizes)
Jewel or other embellishments
Tacky Glue
Instructions
These Egg Dye Craft Stick Crosses are fun to watch as the dye is absorbed and climbs up the craft stick.
Start by setting up your cups of Easter Egg dye or use what is left after making your Easter Eggs.
Put one end of the craft stick in the dye and let it set. The longer it sets the darker the color will be.
When you are satisfied with the color turn the stick and put the other end in a complimentary dye and again let it set until you are satisfied with the color.
Let the sticks dry and then glue the smaller craft stick horizontally on the larger one to form a cross.
Glue your embellishments on the cross and let dry.
