Floss Desk Caddy
Kids will love making this Floss Desk Caddy to coordinate with the colors of their room. Pre-teens and Teens will all display their finished project with pride.
Supplies
6 Strand Embroidery Floss (I used variegated)
2 Small Round Bowls
Liquid Starch
Wax Paper
Scissors
Hair Dryer (optional)
Instructions
Pour 1 cup of starch into a small round bowl.
Lay a piece of wax paper on your work surface. Turn the other bowl upside down on the wax paper.
Cut 1 yard pieces of floss. Dip into the starch. Squeeze off excess by running between your thumb and forefinger. Arrange over the the bottom
of the bowl. Continue until you have arranged enough floss to create the finished bowl.
Let dry 1 or 2 days or use a hair dryer to dry the same day.
Ease off bowl.
If you plan on putting small items in the bowl that may fall through the open spaces, put a couple of sheets of colorful tissue paper in the bottom.
