Foam Firefighter’s Hat

This easy to make Foam Firefighter’s Hat is a great idea for a Halloween costume for boys or girls. Add yellow reflective tape to a black jacket and pants and boots. It will keep them warm and safe as they trick or treat.

Trivia:

In America, George Washington, the future American President was a volunteer firefighter in Alexandria, Virginia. In 1774, as a member of the Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Company, he bought a new fire engine and gave it to the town, which was its very first. Supplies
  • 1 Sheet Red Craft Foam
  • Scrap of White Craft Foam
  • Scrap of Black Craft Foam
  • Tacky Glue
Instructions
  1. Print out both patterns.
  2. Tape front and back pattern together at the dotted line.
  3. Staple inside your cutting lines onto red foam.
  4. Cut the shield out of white.
  5. Cut out black numbers.
  6. Glue together as shown in photo.

Note: inside cutting lines may need to be adjusted for child’s head size.
