How To Make Minion Finger Puppets
If you are having a Minion themed birthday party, this post will show you How To Make Minion Finger Puppets with the kids. It will be a fun time and something for the kids to take home after the party.
Supplies
Yellow, gray, brown or black, and blue felt
Fabric or utility scissors (that will cut felt)
Glue gun and quick dry tacky glue
Instructions
Step 1. I prepped the felt pieces ahead of time so the craft would go smoothly, not take too much time before the movie, and wouldn’t be frustrating for the little ones cutting some of the small pieces.
For each puppet you will need to cut:
two minions shaped pieces of felt that fit the kids fingers (I measured their fingers ahead of time- doesn’t need to be exact)
one thin strip of black felt (goggle strap)
two gray circles (goggles)
two white (smaller) circles (eyes)
two brown or black (even smaller) circles (pupils)
black smile
black strips for hair
blue rectangle (for overalls)- We cut the overalls with the kids so that they were the perfect size for each minion
I cut a bunch of the pieces ahead of time, then used a glue gun to glue the side and top of the two yellow pieces to make a finger puppet.
Step 2. When it’s time to craft with the kids, simply put out all the pieces, and let the kids glue them all together to make their minions.
They can make their favorite minions, or use their imagination to create their own minion! Older kids can cut their own felt pieces too, but I knew that my youngest can’t cut felt and wanted the craft to not be too difficult for him.
