Here’s an easy way to Make A Candy Cane Sleigh For Your Elf On The Shelf . Simple decorations like this candy cane sleigh add whimsical touches to your Christmas decor. Kids love to look for their Elf on the Shelf and what a fun place to find him. We’ve made this a teen craft because duct tape and hot glue guns are not kid friendly.

Trivia: Basically, the shelf elf’s job is to sit there all day watching how kids behave. Then, at night he magically comes to life and heads to the North Pole to report back to Santa about what he saw. This is how he ends up in a different spot every day. Supplies
  • Yogurt container
  • Candy canes
  • Red Duct tape
  • Gold scrapbook paper
  • Glue gun*
  • Scissors
  • Elf

*Glue guns should be handled by a responsible adult

Instructions
  1. Cut gold scrapbook paper in a design to decorate your tub sleigh and glue on with glue gun. Don’t  worry about making it exactly like ours. Be creative.
  2. Using the picture as a guide, duct tape the candy canes to the tub making sure the “runners” are lined up evenly.
  3. Put your elf in the “sleigh” and you are good to go!
