Make A Dinosaur Fossil
Show the kids how to Make A Dinosaur Fossil with their own fossil recipe. Once the fossil is made hide them in some lose dirt and send the kids on a fossil hunt to find their treasures. We found some plastic dinosaur bones, but full size dinosaurs will work for this project too.
Trivia: The word dinosaur comes from the Greek language and means ‘terrible lizard’.
Supplies
Plastic Dinosaur Pieces
Sand Dough*
Wax Paper or Plastic Plate
Instructions
Make up a batch of sand dough.
Flatten a fistful of the dough on to a plastic plate or wax paper. Make it at least 3/4" thick. Press in dinosaur parts. Remove.
Let dry and turn the kids loose on a fossil hunt.
