Fall is the perfect time to take the kids outside to “shop” for craft materials. Leaves, twigs and berries are all you need to make these beautiful butterflies.

Trivia

Instructions
  1. Find sets of leaves that look very similar to use for your butterfly wings. You will need two sets for each butterfly. We got creative and made one unique butterfly with three sets of leaves. Don’t be afraid to create your own special insect.
  2. Break a twig to a size that is right for your butterfly and glue the wings to the back using the picture as a reference.

We found these berries on the ground, but you could also use holly berries for the eyes. Glue them on the twig body for the eyes. Let dry.

You can make all kinds of butterflies depending on the leaves you find.

Have fun outdoors and crafting too.
