Do any of you ever proofread your comments? All 4 (4/4) of the above posts / comments have grammar and/or usage errors.
For example, are you going to defiantly try this with your kids” or will you DEFINITELY try this with your kids? Hmm? Don’t rely on spellcheck; it often autocorrects definitely to “defiantly.” This is the worst one,
“Thanks thiese will help keep the young ones busy om thanksgiving.” I presume you mean, THESE will … on Thanksgiving.” (capitalize, national holiday) ?
And another, “Thanks, my wee ones will love doing theses …” Are they writing more than one Master’s thesis (plural = theses), or they will love doing THESE? “I’ll go this with my kids.” DO by chance?
Is this what this over-digitalized generation has come to? You’re too busy being on social media, texting, etc. to LEARN standard writing conventions (let alone CARE that you’re wrong) about how “dumb-downed” this world is becoming? How can we expect the kids to become good spellers / writers / readers and thinkers when their parents can’t even spell, proofread or edit their work?
