How to make quilled angels with kids

This simple Quilled Angel is a good project for pre-teens and teens to expand their quilling skills as they create beautiful decorations for Christmas cards and packages.

Trivia: Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is rolled, looped, curled, twisted and otherwise manipulated to create shapes which make up designs to decorate greetings cards, pictures, boxes, eggs, and to make models, jewelry, mobiles etc.  Wikipedia

Supplies

5mm yellow, pink and white quilling paper
Scissors
Rolling pen
White glue

Instructions

Step 1: Make the head of the quilling angel

You just need to roll a piece of white quilling paper as round shape with rolling pen.

Step 2:Make the wings of the quilling angel for kids

1st, twist a piece of white quilling paper as wing shape, and then paste it with white glue;

2nd, twist a piece of yellow quilling paper as wing shape, and then paste it with white glue;

3rd, combine the ready white and yellow quilling paper together with white glue;

4th, make another wing in the same ways mentioned above.

Step 3: Make the tail of the easy quilling angel

1st, twist two pieces of white quilling paper as wing shapes. Then fix it with white glue;

2nd, coil a piece of yellow quilling paper in the same way;

3rd, combine the three pieces of ready quilling paper together with white glue. You must make sure put the yellow paper in the middle and the two pieces of white paper on the right and left side separately.

Step 4: Finish the easy quilling angel

1st, roll a piece of pink quilling paper as heart shape;

2nd, paste the pink heart, quilling angel’s head, wings and tail together with white glue, please see the picture showing below.
