Recycled Tee Shirt Wall Decoration
When the vacation is over and the souvenir tee shirt is old news, show the kids how to make a Recycled Tee Shirt Wall Decoration to keep the vacation memories alive and in view. Tee shirts are often beautifully silk screened and make great craft materials to turn into lots of different craft projects. Check out some of the ideas in the related crafts.
Trivia: Screen printing is a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil to receive a desired image. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto another material. A squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing ink through the mesh openings to wet the under material during the squeegee stroke. Basically, it is the process of using a mesh-based stencil to apply ink onto another material.
