Shamrock Man
This cheerful Shamrock Man craft is a fun way to turn simple shamrock templates into a cute St. Patrick’s Day decoration. Kids will enjoy cutting, folding, and gluing the pieces together to make a happy shamrock character that is perfect for decorating a door, bulletin board, or classroom wall. Supplies
- Green and white construction paper
- 2 googly eyes
- Black crayon or marker
- Scissors
- Glue
- Large shamrock template
- Small shamrock template
Instructions
- Print the large shamrock template on green construction paper and cut it out.
- Print the small shamrock template on green construction paper and cut out four small shamrocks.
- Cut 4 strips of white construction paper about 1 inch wide.
- Fold each white strip back and forth to make an accordion shape.
- Glue two folded strips to the sides of the large shamrock to make the arms.
- Glue two folded strips to the bottom of the large shamrock to make the legs.
- Glue one small shamrock to the end of each arm and leg.
- Add the googly eyes to the large shamrock.
- Use a black crayon or marker to draw a happy smile.

This St. Patrick’s Day craft can be used for shape recognition, counting, and fine motor practice. Have children count the shamrocks, identify the heart shapes that form each leaf, or describe the pattern made by the accordion folded arms and legs. Instructions
Click on Printables and print the large shamrock template out on green construction paper. Cut out the shamrock.
Print the small shamrock template out on green construction paper. Cut out the four smaller shamrocks.
Cut 4 strips of white construction paper that are approximately 1 inch wide. Fold the strips back and forth to create an accordion fold appearance.
Glue two white strips on either side of the large shamrock to form arms. Glue two white strips at the base of the large shamrock to form legs.
Glue the two small shamrocks to the ends of the arms and the two small shamrocks to the ends of the legs.
Glue the two googly eyes to the large shamrock and use a marker to draw on a smile.
