Tissue Paper Safari Animals
These cool looking Tissue Paper Safari Animals will look great hanging in your windows at home or in the classroom. This would also be a cool project for a VBS Safari project. Take this opportunity to explore the culture and traditions of our African neighbors.
Trivia:
Safari travel in contemporary Africa typically implies that the journey will include game viewing and some time spent in wilderness areas (game reserves and national parks). Source: African Budget Safaris – What is a Safari?
Supplies:
- Animal Print Tissue Paper
- Black Card Stock
- Wiggle Eyes — 20mm
- 3/4″ Suction Cup
- Tacky Glue
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
- 1/8″ Hole Punch
Instructions
- Print patterns on black card stock. You’ll be able to see the outlines on the card stock enough to cut it out. You might have to adjust your margins (in the print menu) to get the pattern to fit. Cut on outer and inner lines so you have an animal shaped frame.
- Use a glue stick to glue frame to the right side of animal print tissue paper. Trim all around the outside.
- Punch a hole in the top of the frame. Slide the hook of the suction cup through the hole.
- Use tacky glue to glue on wiggle eyes.
