USA Garland
D-Day was a special day in the history of many of our veterans. String a garland around your table to honor their service. Then is you know someone in the service you can save the garland to hang on your tree or holiday table to make them part of the celebration!
Supplies
Cardstock - maroon, navy, white and scraps of metallic silver and denim
Silver Paint Marker
Raffia
Glue stick
FISKARS® ShapeTemplate™ Tool - Patriotic
Instructions
Using paper trimmer, cut one each 6" X 6" square from maroon, white and navy cardstock. Using Shape Cutter ™ with Shape Template ™, cut one large star and large flag piece from white cardstock. Cut 5 flag stripes and USA from maroon. Cut USA from blue. Cut star-section of flag from denim cardstock. Cut flagpole from silver.
Using glue stick, adhere white star to center of maroon square. Adhere first maroon, then navy USA to center of white cardstock piece. Assemble and adhere flag to center of navy square.
Punch maroon, white and navy stars and adhere randomly to square pieces.
Punch holes in upper right and left corners of each square. Thread raffia through, stringing all pieces together. Tie knots behind each square to secure. Trim ends of raffia.
