Instructions
To make these Valentine Favors, start with four sheets of different color construction paper
Main body of your Favor
Cut toilet paper roll in half (forming two smaller rolls approximately 2 ¼ inches long)
Take one sheet of colored construction paper. Cut out 3 ½ inch by 7 inch rectangle and put glue on one whole side of paper. Wrap paper around 2 ¼ inch roll .Turn the overlapping paper into the inside of the roll and press down
firmly to smooth out.
Favor Band
Take another sheet of construction paper, in a different color. Cut out 7 inch by ½ inch rectangle strip of paper and put glue on one side of paper. Wrap 7 inch by ½ inch rectangle strip around 2 ¼ inch roll about 3/8 inch from left side of roll, set roll aside.
Favor Heart
Take pink or red construction paper. Cut out one – 1 inch square and fold square in half.
Draw small half heart on folded edge of paper and cut out. Glue heart on right side of roll, set roll aside.
Flower
Take your last sheet of construction paper. Cut out one - 3 inch square
Fold square in half and then in half again to form small 1 ½ square (two side will have folds two will have open ends).
Draw a light guide line, diagonally, from the double folded corner to the double open corner. Draw a line from folded side to folded side, ¼ inch from the folded corner (forming a cross line in your diagonal pencil line and a small right triangle on the folded corner).
Click on Printables to see Flower Diagram. Draw half petals on the folded sides of the 1 ½ inch square (see diagram).
Draw a full petal from the folded corner to the open corner (see diagram).
With square still folded, cut along outside petal lines (dotted lines on diagram) and open to make your flower .
With two fingers holding the center of flower and the base of each petal, very gently pull the petal (between middle finger and thumb nail) from above the base of the flower petal to the top point of petal. This will curl petals. Repeat action on each petal until all petals curl slightly.
Glue flower on to favor band directly across from heart decoration on right side of roll
Paste Brown MINI REESE'S PIECES peanut butter candy in center of the daisy and let dry.
Inside Favor
Cut a piece of colored tissue paper about 7 inches wide and 1 ½ feet long
Stack 4 HERSHEY'S MINIATURES chocolate bars on top of each other and tape together
Roll candy up inside tissue paper (forming a kind of tissue paper tube). Give to someone special.
