Yarn Wrapped Eggs
These pretty Yarn Wrapped Eggs are a simple Easter craft that can be used year after year. They look lovely hanging on an Easter tree, tucked into a spring centerpiece, or displayed in a basket with other handmade decorations. This is an easy craft for kids with a little help from an adult, and it is also a fun way to use small amounts of leftover yarn.

Supplies
- Styrofoam eggs
- Yarn in one or more colors
- Craft glue
- Scissors
Instructions
- Start by adding a small amount of craft glue to the top of the Styrofoam egg.
- Press the end of the yarn into the glue and begin coiling it around the top of the egg.
- Continue adding glue a little at a time as you wrap the yarn around the egg.
- Keep the yarn snug and close together so the Styrofoam does not show through.
- Work your way around the entire egg until it is fully covered.
- Cut the yarn and tuck the end neatly under the wrapped yarn with a small dab of glue.
- Let the egg dry completely before displaying.
Tips
Try different yarn textures
Soft yarn, fuzzy yarn, and multicolor yarn can all give these eggs a different look. This is a great way to make each one unique.
Make a whole set
Create several eggs in coordinating spring colors to use as Easter decorations around the house or classroom.
Add a hanger
If you want to hang the eggs on an Easter tree, glue a small ribbon loop to the top before wrapping the final section.
