Calico Card

This sweet Calico Card is a quick and easy Valentine craft for kids. It is a fun way to mix colors and patterns while making a handmade card for someone special. Use colored or patterned cardstock for a bright patchwork look, or print on white paper and let kids decorate their own designs.

Supplies

  • Card stock or heavy paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Crayons, markers, or colored pencils, optional

Instructions

  1. Print the card pieces on colored or patterned cardstock, or print them on white paper if you want kids to color them first.
  2. Cut out all of the heart shapes.
  3. Decorate the hearts if desired with crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
  4. Glue the hearts onto the card front, mixing and matching colors and patterns to create a calico style design.
  5. Fold the card in half.
