Paper Plate Kitten Craft
This Paper Plate Kitten Craft is a sweet and simple project for kids who love animals and easy crafts. It is a fun way to turn ordinary paper plates into an adorable kitten face that can be displayed on a wall, bulletin board, or refrigerator. This is a great choice for classroom activities, rainy day fun, or anytime you want easy crafts for kids.

Supplies
- 2 gray plastic or paper plates
- Large wiggle eyes
- Black marker
- Craft glue
- Scissors
Instructions
- Glue the wiggle eyes near the center of one plate to make the kitten’s face.
- Cut two triangle-shaped ears from the second plate. Glue the ears to the back top edge of the face plate so they stick up like kitten ears.
- Use the black marker to draw the kitten’s nose, mouth, whiskers, and any extra fur markings you like. You can copy the original design or create your own special kitten face.
- Let the glue dry completely before displaying your paper plate kitten craft.
Fun Facts
Kittens may favor one paw over the other, just like people can be right-handed or left-handed. Watching which paw a kitten uses most often can be a fun way to learn more about how animals behave.
Patterns, Templates and Printables
This craft does not require a printable template. Use the sample photo as a guide for cutting the ears and drawing the kitten’s face.

Teacher Friendly Educational Extension
Turn this craft into a simple learning activity by asking kids to describe their kitten using color words and personality traits. They can also write a short story about their kitten’s name, favorite food, and where it likes to nap. This makes the project a fun blend of art and creative writing for classroom activities or homeschool lessons.
