Supplies

  • Card stock
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Crayons or markers, optional
  • Printable stripe pattern
  • Printable star pattern

Instructions

  1. Print the stripe pattern two times on card stock.
  2. Print the star pattern. If you are using the black and white version, have kids color the stars and blocks before cutting.
  3. Cut out the groups of strips. There are two strip sections on each page.
  4. Glue the ends of the strips together to make a band that fits around the child’s head. Trim any extra paper if needed.
  5. Cut out the star blocks.
  6. Glue the star blocks around the striped headband.
  7. Let the glue dry, then wear your Patriotic Parade Hat for a parade, classroom celebration, or holiday activity.
