Supplies
- White cardstock
- Scissors
- Color printer
Instructions
Print 2 sheets of the bug cards for a game of Concentration, or print 4 sheets if you want to play Go Catch a Bug.
Cut out each card carefully before play. For extra durability, you can print on heavier cardstock or laminate the cards for repeated use.
How to Play Concentration
- Shuffle the cards and place them face down in neat rows.
- Each player takes a turn flipping over 2 cards, trying to find a matching pair. If the cards match, the player keeps them and takes another turn. If they do not match, turn them back over and let the next player go.
- The player with the most matches at the end wins.
- This game can also be played by one child as a memory challenge. Try timing how long it takes to match all the bug cards.
How to Play Go Catch a Bug
- Print 4 sheets of the cards so you have enough matches for a card game similar to Go Fish.
- Shuffle and deal the cards evenly among players. Players take turns asking each other for matching bug cards. If the other player has the card, they hand it over. If not, they say, “Go Catch a Bug,” and the player draws from the pile.
- Keep playing until all matches are made. The player with the most matches wins.
