Repurposed Shoelace Peace Sign
Martin Luther King Jr believed in bringing about change peacefully. We want to help the kids keep that in mind as they make this Repurposed Shoelace Peace Sign. We’ve also suggested some other MLK crafts and activities the kids will want to undertake as they honor his memory.
Supplies
Embroidery Hoop (use one half)
Neon Shoe Laces
Hot Glue
Instructions
We selected neon shoelaces from the Dollar Store to keep this project in a retro mode, but you can make it any color that pleases you.
Using the picture as a reference, put a dab of glue on the embroidery frame and start wrapping. Use small dabs of the hot glue to ensure a clean project.
Note: If you put a small dab of Vaseline on the bottom tip of your glue gun it should prevent glue strings.
