Scavenger Hunt Game Ideas
Turn this printable into a family or classroom challenge by adding a few simple rules.
Kids can try to find five items in a row, complete the whole card, or work together as a team. Younger children can color each square as they find it, while older kids can write down the sport or country connected to each item.
For a quieter activity, let children use the scavenger hunt while watching a replay or highlight video. For a classroom activity, assign small groups a country or sport to follow and share with the class.

Teacher Friendly Educational Extension
Use this Summer Olympics Scavenger Hunt as a simple classroom activity that connects sports with geography, writing, and social studies.
Have students choose one country they see during the Olympics and find it on a map. They can write down the country’s capital, flag colors, language, and one interesting fact.
For a writing prompt, ask students to answer: “If I could compete in one Olympic sport, I would choose…” or “Good sportsmanship means…”
You can also create a classroom medal chart. Each time students spot a sport or country on their scavenger hunt page, they can add a sticky note, drawing, or short fact to a bulletin board display.
