Valentine Candy Rose
Turn two chocolate kisses into a sweet handmade Valentine gift with this Valentine Candy Rose craft. It is a fun and simple project for kids to make for parents, grandparents, teachers, or friends. Supplies
- 2 chocolate kisses
- Green craft foam
- Pink craft foam
- 1 wooden skewer
- 12 inches of 1/8-inch ribbon
- Pink cellophane
- 4 green pipe cleaners
- Black fine point marker
- Decorative edge scissors
- Scissors
- Low temp glue gun or tacky glue with clothespins
- Hand hole punch
Instructions
- Cut three 6-inch squares of pink cellophane and stack them together.
- Place the two chocolate kisses flat bottom to flat bottom. Wrap the stacked cellophane around the candy and twist the bottom to hold it in place.
- Set the wrapped candy at the top of the wooden skewer. Wrap a green pipe cleaner tightly around the twisted cellophane and the skewer, then keep winding down the stick. Add more pipe cleaners as needed to cover more of the stem. Use a small amount of glue if needed to help hold everything in place.
- Cut three leaf shapes from the green craft foam using decorative edge scissors. Glue the leaves just under the candy rose.
- Cut a heart from the pink craft foam. Punch a hole near the top and write a short Valentine message with the marker.
- Thread the ribbon through the hole in the heart and tie it onto the rose stem. Finish by tying the ribbon into a bow.

Instructions
Cut and stack three 6" squares of pink cellophane. Hold two candy kisses together, lining up the flat bottoms, and wrap the kisses with the cellophane. Twist the cellophane to secure.
Hold wrapped kisses against the end of the wooden skewer and wrap tightly with a green pipe cleaner, winding down the stick. Add more pipe cleaners as necessary. Add some glue to secure if desired.
Cut three leaves from craft foam with decorative edge scissors. Glue behind the rose bud. Cut a heart from pink craft foam.
Punch a hole and write your message. String a ribbon through the hole and tie onto the rose. Make a bow.
