  5. Let the glue cool completely before wearing or giving your Valentine pin as a gift.

Craft Tips

Use red, pink, white, gold, and purple beads for a classic Valentine’s Day look.

Let kids spell out short messages with letter beads if they fit inside the cap.

For younger children, have an adult handle the hot glue step.

These pins also make cute classroom activities, party favors, or handmade Valentine gifts.

Patterns, Templates and Printables

No printable pattern is needed for this craft. Each Bottle Cap Valentine Pin can be designed with the beads, charms, gems, and small decorations you have available.

Teacher Friendly Educational Extension

Turn this Valentine craft into a simple classroom activity about kindness and creative reuse. Ask each child to make a pin for someone they appreciate, then write one sentence explaining why that person is special.

You can also connect this project to recycling by talking about how everyday items, like bottle caps, can be reused in easy crafts for kids instead of being thrown away. For a math connection, have students sort their beads by color, count how many fit in one cap, or create a repeating pattern before gluing.
